Present Work:

General Practitioner. I am willing to serve provided that I am satisfied that adequate arrangements can be made to carry on my practice. I am the oldest practitioner here - oldest by years of age I mean - and on coming here eight years ago found the practice by no means what it had been represented to be. I have had a hard struggle to make the practice what it now is, and, having no private income, I cannot afford to risk financial loss in view of my responsibilities as a married man with two children.

Age as at 1st January 1916:

At the call of the local War Committee for my area, as instructed by the
Scottish Medical Service Emergency Committee, I am prepared to render the service
or services marked above. This offer is subject to the condition that, in the event
of such service requiring me to leave my present work, I am enabled to make
arrangements for having it carried in during my absence.
